CALL FOR CONTRIBUTORS

I guess my favorite food is anything my mom makes. Because like anybody who loves their mother’s cooking, if you try and make your mom’s recipes, they never taste quite the same. And I don’t know if that’s because she’s lying about what she’s putting in there and just not telling me. Like when I turn my back, she’s sneaking something in there. It just never seems to taste the same. — Rachael Ray

someone was in a bad mood! anyway, i wanted to respond, but any post I wrote about my mother, especially being in the kitchen with my mother, would be sad and offensive. She was an amazing cook, though! This will be fun!

I look forward to following this series. For as long as I can remember, my mom has whipped up a simple and AMAZINGLY DELCIOUS creamed spinach. Try as I may, my attemps never taste quite the same! 🙁

  5. Hi Bernadette, I thought I had left you a comment here, but I see I didn’t. I will email you a recipe for the hummingbird cake and a picture. I made a 4 layer cake for my mom’s 80th and this was one of the layers.

  6. I can’t wait to read the recipes of your followers’ mom’s favorites. Here’s my e-mail address. I’m so glad you won a copy of my book FLASHES of LIFE! No recipes in there, though. ;-0 pam.wight@colettawight.net

  7. This sounds like a great way to honor mothers! I’m not sure I have a recipe/story to share, but I’m looking forward to seeing this feature. 🙂
