Washington Irving
Hi there,
We have celebrated Thanksgiving and Hanukkah with old and new recipes and now we are headed into the Christmas Season. But I would like to start with a couple of recipes from my friend Sue Clancy, http://sueclancy.com, which will give us time to put our feet up and maybe reflect upon what the holiday season means for us all. I know for myself, I will make the cocoa or maybe the Irish Coffee. I will watch Charlie Brown put up that tiny tree and remember, with a smile, the sounds of my three sons sitting on the sofa with me.

Irish Coffee is a wonderful dessert. Thanks Angie.
Good ones for this time of year!
A little break from the whirlwind. Thanks Judy.
A great post to kick off Christmas cooking/baking. After putting up the tree and other decorations, a cup of that hot chocolate would go down well. Possibly followed by an Irish Coffee!! Yum.
Absolutely! A little break from all the work and partying.
Sat outside and wrote out Christmas cards in the sun. Life can´t get any better.
I loved picturing you doing that.
Yum! And I love the graphics.
Sue is an amazing multitalented artist. If you get a chance Jacqui you should check her out.
Oh so kind of you Bernadette!! Thank you!! And hello in advance Jacqui!
Thanks Jacqui. Sue is so very creative like you.
I’ll have a mug with the Irish Cream thank you!
I am totally with you Dorothy especially since the boys are grown up. I can watch Charlie Brown with a drink!
😍
These look delicious – the handwritten format is beautifully done. Thanks for sharing.
Sue is such a creative person. I always look forward to her contribution. Thanks for stopping by and if you ever want to collaborate please let me know.
Oh how fun!! Thank you so much for sharing my recipe sketchbook cards!! Thank you too for suggesting that I make postcards of my kitchen sketchbook recipes! The cards have been a hit on my Zazzle shop “sueclancy” – and when we’ve mailed them to friends we get positive responses!! Thank you again for your suggestions, encouragement and your friendship!!
Biscuits with sausage gravy is one of my favorites, love the cute illustrations!

I am enthralled by Sue’s creativity in these recipe pictures! Seriously, she should publish a book of all her illustrated recipes. Gorgeous! And good gravy, too! 😉
That would be a fabulous idea.
These all sound lovely, Bernadette. You will not believe it, but I have been trying to work out what hot biscuits are the whole day and here a recipe pops up for them. Amazing!
Serendipity❤️
